On Saturday, May 23, we'll drive to upper Michigan where we'll stay with host families for two nights. We plan to return on Monday, May 25.
Our trip begins at Crosswalk Commons at 10am on Saturday, May 23. And we plan to be back to be back by Monday evening (Monday is the Memorial Day holiday). Here's our schedule:
Saturday
10:00am Meet at Crosswalk Commons (925 Hilltop Drive) and begin our journey
6:00pm Arrive at Indian River Baptist Church where we'll meet our host families
6:30pm Have dinner with our host families and go to their homes for the night
Sunday
8:00am Breakfast with host families
9:00am Attend church with our host families at Indian River Baptist Church
12:00noon Eat lunch at the church
1:30pm Take a ferry to Mackinac Island
6:00pm Dinner at Mackinac Island or Mackinaw City
8:00pm Back to host families
Monday
8:00am Breakfast with host families
9:00am Meet at church and head back to Purdue
5:00pm Arrive back at Purdue
For meals, please bring a lunch to eat in the van during our trip up to Michigan on Saturday. Also bring money to pay for your dinner on Sunday at Mackinac Island or Mackinaw City, and your lunch on Monday during our trip home.
Cost is $70 per person. In addition bring money for some meals (see above) and souvenirs and other special activities you may want to experience on Mackinac Island.
